Stories

Peices of my own journey—messy, meaningful, and full of grace.

Meet Pat

Hi there! I’m Pat Wesolowski. My husband and I homeschooled my nine children for more than 30 years, and today they are all grown and thriving. After a decade of working in college admissions—specializing in helping homeschoolers navigate the process—I now serve families as a speaker, author, and homeschool counselor. With decades of experience and a passion for equipping parents, I offer practical guidance, encouragement, and resources to help make the homeschooling journey both successful and joy‑filled.

What people are saying

Julie Griffin

Pat Wesolowski provided us invaluable guidance throughout my son’s high school years. In addition to helping us navigate the admissions and scholarship process of the college she was serving, Pat kept us abreast of all of the relevant state scholarship changes and deadlines, standardized test options and schedules, and other opportunities for my son to explore careers and obtain funding for college. Pat is personable, thorough, and EXPERIENCED!

The Clark Family

Generous and gentle—that is how we would describe Pat Wesolowski. We connected with Pat while doing a college search outside our state for one of our five homeschooled kids. She readily answered our questions and was never pushy. One year, our family felt led to host a Christian College Fair, and Pat willingly gave sound advice and gentle direction. Although she couldn’t attend due to a schedule change, her support helped the event go very well. We are grateful for how she allows God to use her to help others and for her living example of uplifting the Lord Jesus Christ in all she does. She is most assuredly a beloved sister in Christ!

Ashley Allen

Ms. Pat was a wonderful asset and key player in the successful enrollment of our daughter in Bryan’s dual enrollment program. She was readily available and engaged parents on every front. We even ran into her at a homeschool conference, where she informed us of additional resources for our daughter just by us mentioning her name. Ms. Pat is an asset to navigating resources, and I continue to refer families to her.

Christy Simpson

As a homeschooling mom trying to figure out the college process for my daughter, I don’t know what I would’ve done without Pat Wesolowski. Her kindness, wisdom, and encouragement made everything feel possible. Pat’s podcasts and blog posts are such a blessing—helping me understand each step of the process and what actions to take.

SMHEA

Pat has been a featured workshop speaker at several of our SMHEA (Smokey Mountain Home Educator Association) events. Attendees are thankful for her sage advice and vast knowledge of the college arena. What classes to take in preparation, AP, CLEP, DE, scholarships, application timing, how to save money: she has covered it all. We highly recommend Pat’s guide to college preparation.

Cindy Wagner

New Song Christian Academy has been fortunate to have Pat speak to our Juniors and Seniors each year. She has been invaluable to our parents and students, supplying important details for the transition from high school to college. Her depth of knowledge on the college process and TN scholarships is extremely helpful so families are prepared and ready for each deadline.

Christy Hendrickson

Pat, you have been a valuable and trusted resource for homeschooling parents navigating high school and college. Your monthly emails were timely reminders of important steps and tips to consider. I’ve recommended you to all my homeschooling friends with students entering high school. Your wealth of knowledge and wisdom has been a blessing. Thank you for the advice and support over these years! Recently launched two homeschoolers into college!

Cheryl Kischuk

Pat has a wealth of information and resources after serving the students and parents of Bryan College for many years and homeschooling her own family. She has blessed our family with peace while we navigate the more complicated process of tracking transcripts and applying for college. She clearly communicates the necessary steps to prepare students for an advanced academic future. We are grateful for her assistance.

Autym Vire

met Pat years ago at a SHAPE homeschool meeting. She provided the most helpful information of anyone I had spoken to. Her emails helped me stay on top of deadlines and scholarship opportunities. Thank you!

Darilyn Cummins

I am deeply grateful for all that Pat has done to support my family during our transition from homeschooling to college. Her insightful guidance and practical advice were invaluable in helping us make informed decisions and get everything in order. Thanks to her assistance, my son transitioned smoothly into Bryan College and is thriving in his freshman year.

Deborah Westendorf

I’m a homeschool mom of four—two launched, two to go—and I’m incredibly thankful for Pat Wesolowski’s support in the college enrollment process. Living in northwest Wisconsin, sending our son to a college sixteen hours away presented many challenges. Pat helped us with simple questions before arrival (like what to pack and who to talk to) and with questions afterward. Bryan College’s homepage checklists were helpful, and Pat guided us through ordering books and connecting with the financial aid department. After our student arrived, Pat encouraged relationship-building and checked in. As parents, we’re still helping our son figure out how to socially engage, but some things take time. Above all, we’ve realized that sending your child away to school requires a blanket of continuous prayer and surrender as you trust God to work out His purpose for their life.

Pat has helped our family and many others for years with great ideas, scholarship links, and practical advice. She’s always keeping up with the latest information. This book will be filled with practical and necessary ideas families need when considering the college journey. She’s already helped us learn ways to accumulate more money for college and properly stage the journey so we’re set up well. Thank you, Pat!

Cassie Fenoseff

Pat has been a wealth of information during our homeschooling journey. The resources she provided were instrumental in graduating our oldest child, who is now enrolled in his first-choice college—with scholarships! Pat has a heart for helping the homeschooling community, and she does so with compassion, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Everyone can benefit from her wisdom!

Cheryl Goke

Pat Wesolowski has been such a blessing to our family, starting with our daughter, Kelsey. When Kelsey decided not to attend the college she originally chose, a friend encouraged us to contact Pat at Bryan College. Pat was so wonderful and encouraging to Kelsey and let us attend an event at the college last minute. She set everything up and went above and beyond to ensure Kelsey had the best experience. After Kelsey began attending Bryan, Pat continued to check in periodically. She also helped us as parents when we had questions. Pat encouraged three of our children to attend The Summer Institute at Bryan, and it was clear that most students were there because of her. These weeks were a huge blessing, and our children returned for several summers. Pat knows how to prepare students and parents for college. She has incredible knowledge and is always ready to help. We are forever grateful for her involvement in our students’ lives.
